Former England cricket star in Chigwell charity match

Former England cricketer Mark Ramprakash will captain a pro-celebrity cricket team against a Chigwellian XI when a host of sporting stars will be on show at Chigwell School on Sunday.

Proceeds from the day, which is due to commence at 11am, will go to the Cancer Research UK fundraising efforts of both Chigwell School and Gill Punt, wife of the school’s headmaster Michael Punt.

Among those also scheduled to take part on the day are former England cricketers David Lawrence and Alex Tudor, ex-Sussex and Leicestershire player Carlos Remy, as well as actor Bradley Walsh.

An all-stars netball match is scheduled for lunch time, featuring the former England netball captain Amanda Newton.

Mrs Punt said: “We are extremely grateful to all the players who are supporting the day and look forward to attracting a large crowd to support our fundraising efforts for Cancer Research UK.”

Tickets priced £5, which includes a burger or hot dog and a soft drink, are available on the day or from Tina Page on 020 8501 5711 or by emailing tpage@chigwell-school.org.

Having a brand new kitchen is something that lots of people want but can only dream of. Sadly keeping up to date and making our living spaces as nice as they can be is a costly and incredibly stressful business. Even a fresh coat of paint makes all the difference but isn’t easy or quick.

Who wouldn’t love the chance to go on a shopping spree. Imagine being able to walk into a shop and choose whatever your heart desires without having to worry about how much it costs.
