Umar built on the previous weekend’s win at the Balham show, by taking on Bernard Doherty from Crawley BC and came away from the show with another win under his belt.

Club-mate Mohammed Ikram also won a unanimous points victory at the Balham show, and at one stage in the contest forced a standing count on the opposing boxer.

Both boys have been with the club since its inception last year.

The club train at Apples Gym in Newbury Park, where they have sessions running five days per week.
