Gator ABC saw three of their boxers crowed national champions at the Junior ABA finals at the TA Centre in Lewisham.

First out for Gator was Javir Sanger, who outpointed Dylan Blyth of New Addington with a display of great mobility and impressive punches.

Clubmate Jamal Berleen got his tactics right against hard-hitting Alexis Odusole of Fitzroy Lodge, going straight on the attack from the opening bell to disrupt his opponent’s rhythm and winning the contest by landing many scoring backhands from his southpaw stance.

Completing the hat-trick of wins for Gator was Jack Caward, who produced a calculated performance to win his contest against Tawas Abdullah (Finchley), as he landed clinical combinations and avoided his opponent’s big shots.

Gator were denied a quadruple, though, as Michael Sultana lost his bout against John Ward of London South on points.
