Archant

Ilford’s Anna Crawley set a new personal best at the Chase the Moon 10k at the Olympic Park last week.

Newcomer Crawley joined 15 work colleagues on a cold, crisp evening in Stratford, keen to better a mark of 53 minutes 54 seconds in her only previous outing over the distance.

And she beat it by some considerable margin as she came home in a fine time of 51.02.

Steve Cheal was the only Ilford entrant at the South of England Cross-Country Championships, which were held over a generous 10k course in the Horspath track in Oxford.

The senior men certainly had the worst of the conditions, being the last event of the day, with previous races having churned up the undulating course and left it extremely muddy

But Cheal produced a battling display despite the difficulty to come home in 41st place in the M55 category in a time of
46.41.

Having a brand new kitchen is something that lots of people want but can only dream of. Sadly keeping up to date and making our living spaces as nice as they can be is a costly and incredibly stressful business. Even a fresh coat of paint makes all the difference but isn’t easy or quick.
