Welshman is part of Stuart Pearce’s Team GB squad
Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey believes representing Team GB in the football tournament at the London 2012 Olympics is a unique opportunity for him.
The 21-year-old Caerphilly-born midfielder, who has made 68 Premier League appearances for the Gunners in the past four years, is one of five Welshmen in Stuart Pearce’s Team GB squad.
“It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” said Ramsey.
“There’s not normally a Great Britain football team and to be in this tournament will be special.
“The Welsh players have never been in a tournament like this with Wales and it will give us good experience for the future.
“The opportunity is there to win a medal and that is exciting in itself.
“But being in this tournament and atmosphere, well, I’m just looking forward to getting out there.”
