Archant

With their rolling pins ready, and their eggs, flour and sugar measured, Glade Primary School pupils created cakes for charity that even Paul and Mary would have been proud of.

The schoolchildren, from Atherton Road, Clayhall, ensured there were no soggy bottoms, as the themed cakes were entered into a charity raffle.

Parents paid £1 to enter, with all the proceeds going to Hainault charity The Dream Factory – which help give experiences to terminally ill children.

Everyone voted and the fantastic Pokemon cake by Jack Grimsey was the winner, with the schoolchildren raised more than £400.

Tracey Miller, nursery teacher at Glade, told the Recorder: “We have done this for the last three years, and this year we chose to raise money for the Dream Factory.

“The children really enjoyed it.”

The fantastic pictures show the Glade pupils with cakes that would have wowed even the Bake Off judges.
