Oliver Morgan was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in 2012, and has wanted to go to north Finland since spending last Christmas in hospital.

During his treatment Oliver has had several complications - including a blood clot on his brain, pneumonia, and a chest infection.

And Oliver’s dad, Chris Morgan, said the trip was a great opportunity “to spend time together” as a family.

He said: “Oliver absolutely loved seeing all the snow and tobogganing, but meeting Santa was the highlight of the trip.

“This is the first holiday we have been on since the diagnosis and it was great to spend time together as a family.

“It meant the world to Oliver and the family and the memories will last forever.”

Oliver is now on maintenance chemotherapy for the next two and a half years.

The trip was organised by Make-A-Wish Foundation, which organises wishes to children and young people fighting life threatening conditions.
