A photography club has shared a selection of snaps taken this week, including beautiful deers fighting in the woods.

Members of the Woodford and Wanstead Photographic Society take photographs of landscapes and nature across Redbridge, and the south east every month.

The main photo, of two deers locking horns in Richmond Park, was taken by club publicity officer David Tyrrell.

David explained he had actually taken two shots, “one of the trees and the other of the two deer”, which he layered on top of each other.

“Some call this cheating. I call it being creative,” he said.

David encouraged Recorder readers keen on photography to get involved with the society.

He said: “We cater for all levels and try to encourage members to enjoy their hobby by arranging competitions as well as going on photo shoots.”

The society meets on the first and third Monday of every month in Wanstead House, The Green, Wanstead, and the first three sessions are free.
