Woman, 44, arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods

A 44-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a string of burglaries in a ward.

Police were issued with a warrant to search a flat in the Flower’s Estate, Ilford, on Thursday after the Loxford area suffered 25 residential burglaries in three weeks.

The woman was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods and officers are continuing to make enquiries.
