An estate agent is offering artistic homeowners the chance to bag a cash prize and bring Wanstead to life.

Bairstow Eves, High Street, Wanstead, are offering prizes to people taking part in Art Group Wanstead’s HomeFront Art Trail project.

Wanstead creatives are being asked to paint and create sculptures for front gardens and windows to have a chance of winning a £100 prize, with two runner-up prizes of £25.

The art group’s estate-agent-sponsored HomeFront project comes after the group’s Art Trail initiative which will also see paintings and 3D art springing up around Wanstead.

Art Group Wanstead’s Donna Mizzi said: “HomeFront has the potential to add more colour and interest to local streets – creating a visual treat for passers-by. At the same time it will alert people to check out the art trail displays at about 75 local venues.”

Artists should enter by Aug 30, with the pieces going on display between Sept 6 and Sept 21. Visit artgroupwanstead.com for more information.
