Twenty-five firefighters battled to put out two cars which went up in flames in Barkingside.

Fire services were called to a fire outside 247 Horns Road, in Barkingside, at 1.18am on February 12.

They arrived to find two cars fully alight, one in the driveway at another on the road directly in front of the house.

An investigation to determine the cause of the fire is ongoing and the make of the cars is not known at present.

Four fire engines attended and crews from Ilford, Hainault and Woodford responded to the call.

Two adults and three children safely left the home before fire fighters arrived.

No one was injured in the blaze.

The fire was contained quickly and brought under control by 2.20am.

The London Fire Brigade will carry out free home fire safety risk assessments and give free safety advice.
