Police have arrested two men in Chadwell Heath after searches discovered drugs believed to be MDMA, cocaine and herbal cannabis, as well as a sawn off shotgun.

Officers searched the men and a property in Pavement Mews, yesterday evening.

The two suspects, aged 30 and 58, were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply and suspicion of holding a prohibited weapon.

They are currently being interviewed at Ilford Police Station.

Inquiries are ongoing, and the Trident South Proactive team are investigating.

Officers also arrested a 23-year-old on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply yesterday, in an unrelated incident.

The man was stopped while driving in Seven Kings Road, Seven Kings.

Police spotted several phones inside his car and so searched the vehicle.

Officers reportedly found several white rocks, cannabis and around £200 to £300 in cash.

He remains in custody and inquiries continue.
