A track-side fire broke out between Ilford and Seven Kings stations during rush hour this evening.

The incident, which took place at around 5.15pm, prompted Abellio Greater Anglia to warn of cancellations and delays to services running through Ilford.

Shortly before 6pm, the operator tweeted: “#Ilford - Due to an earlier line-side fire services are returning to normal but some may still be cancelled or delayed up to 20 mins.”

Well, it rained! I feared that I would not be able to send a story of the Palm Sunday Procession that had two donkeys and not the usual one! 
	 
	In spite of the rain, Clive and Ann Wilderspin brought the two donkeys from their home on Willow Farm at Little Heath to St. Peters Aldborough Hatch for the annual Palm Sunday procession. 
	 
	In past years we have had one donkey  but this year Elizabeth (aged 8 years) brought her son, Valentine (aged 2 years and born on  youve guessed  Valentines Day 2013!). 
	 
	Again, in past years the donkey has always walked the mile or so from Little Heath  but this year both donkeys travelled in a horse box. 
	 
	The Revd Kate Lovesey, who blessed the two donkeys at the end of the procession (see photograph 13), said: The Palm Sunday procession brings to the fore the events of that day two thousand years ago when Jesus entered Jerusalem riding on a donkey with the crowds cheering Him.
