A teenager was left with a slash wound to his hand after he was reportedly robbed in Woodford Green last night.

Police told the the Recorder that officers attended reports of a robbery in Prospect Road, Woodford Green at around 10.42pm on Monday (May 14).

A spokesman said that a 17-year-old victim had suffered a slash wound to his hand but did not need to be taken to hospital.

A man who wished to remain anonymous told the Recorder that he was walking his dog when he was stopped by police at around 11.30pm and asked if he had seen three boys on bikes who police said they were looking for.

He said: “I was walking my dog and a police van pulled over and said had I seen three boys on bikes because someone had been badly injured.

“They said it could be gang related or theft I then saw them cutting the locks of Ray Lodge park because they thought they had seen then hiding in there.”

No arrests have currently been made.
