Donald Marshall, who has worked at restaurants in exclusive hotels including Claridge’s and The Waldorf, visited catering students at Redbridge College, Barley Lane, Little Heath last week.

He spoke to the students about perfect preparation and tricky techniques as well as giving them advice on working in the catering industry.

Mr Marshall said: “I’ve been really impressed by the great enthusiasm and willingness to learn of students at the college.”

“In order to progress they will just need to be prepared to give things a go, be determined and to continue working hard,” Mr Marshall added.
