Using their voices and their hands, the pupils of Glade Primary School, in Atherton Road, Clayhall, delivered a rousing performance of a song called ‘Friends Forever’ at an assembly on February 7.

Through collecting donations from their performance, the school have raised £132 for deaf health charity Sign Health

Music teacher Davida Robinson said: “The children really enjoy this event and worked very hard in learning the song both at school and at home.”

In the weeks leading up to the assembly, the pupils learned how to sign the songs in their music lessons and using online tutorials at home.

The performance was organised as part of ‘Sign2Sing,’ which is a nationwide event run annually by Sign Health.

By taking part in the event, pupils learn about disabiltiy, deafness and communication.
