Redbridge schoolchildren can watch their favourite films for free this week as part of National Schools Film Week.
Blockbusters like The Hunger Games will be shown alongside thriller The Woman in Black and kids’ favourites including The Muppets.
The festival, which is in its 17th year, runs free screenings as well as giving talks and providing resources to encourage children to understand and explore cinema.
Director Nick Walker said: “The festival seeks to create a greater awareness and understanding of cinema based on the concept of relationships and dialogues in a variety of films and address issues of cultural exchange.”
The films are showing at Ilford Cineworld, in Clements Road, and the South Woodford Odeon, in High Road.
National Schools Film Week runs from today until October 26.
