A children’s hospice can be grateful for having a little extra money in the bank thanks to a local TSB branch.

The TSB branch, in High Road, Romford, donated £225 to help Haven House Children’s Hospice, in Woodford Green, provide care services for terminally ill children and their families.

Kate Donoghue, the hospice’s community and events fundraiser, said: “I’d like to thank TSB in Romford for this donation. Without supporters like TSB, we wouldn’t be able to continue the work we do.

“It’s great to see a large, national company giving their employees the opportunity to support a local cause. The money they’ve donated will really make a difference to us and to the community her in Romford.”

Anil Kalsi, Bank Manager at TSB in Romford, said it was important to the bank to help and support local charities and projects

“Being part of our local community is really important to us at TSB and so we’re delighted to be able to help Haven House with this donation.

“We chose to donate this money to Haven House because of the important work they do.”
