PUBLISHED: 15:26 24 June 2014

Residents are invited to a meeting on Friday to discuss the creation of a group which will scrutinise the use of stop and search powers.

Redbridge police are hoping to form a stop and search monitoring group, which will see members of the public review local redacted stop and search records.

Interested residents aged over 18 are invited to come along to Ilford police station, in High Road, at 7pm.

A member of the senior leadership team will be present to meet you and hear your views.
