Pupils from more than 40 schools across Redbridge and beyond enjoyed a music festival at Chigwell School on Monday.

More than 100 pupils enjoyed the annual day of music making at Chigwell School, in High Road, which saw children perform in a 70-strong orchestera, and try out song writing.

The day, which was organised by the school’s director of music, Howard Ebden, was great fun, he said.

Mr Ebden said: “The power and importance of music in the curriculum was demonstrated through motivation, concentration, confidence and teamwork seen throughout the day.

“This was further evidenced in the celebratory concert at the end of the afternoon where all pupils had a chance to exhibit some of their work produced during the day.”
