Small businesses in Redbridge can now apply to a Mayor of London-led scheme to help get high speed internet connections.
The first phase of the scheme has been rolled out in Redbridge – and five other London boroughs – but will open up to the rest of the capital in the spring.
Businesses in the borough can apply for a voucher worth up to £3,000 to help them with the set up cost of high speed internet connections.
The Mayor of London Boris Johnson said: “Today’s markets are more competitive than ever and it is essential London’s businesses are at the forefront, driving our economy forward, with cutting-edge technology at their fingertips.
“I am delighted this scheme will provide practical support that will enable our entrepreneurs in Redbridge to become super connected.”
Businesses must still pay monthly line rental, broadband service charges and VAT with the new scheme.
