Redbridge adult social services have published details relating to their performance from last year and their aims for 2014.
It is the third year adult social services have published a “local account”, sharing information about the work they do, performance and aims for the future.
In 2013, according to the latest account, adult social services helped 8,363 people in the borough by providing information and advice about care in Redbridge.
More than 1,000 aged 65 and over were helped in their recovery following a hospital admission and 6,839 people were provided with various care services.
Adult social services achieved these figures with a budget of more than £70m.
By publishing this information the government hopes councils are now responsible for making their own improvements and sharing this work with their local community.
