Police are appealing for two people from the Ilford area who have gone missing over the weekend.

They are two separate incidents, and are not believed to be linked.

On Saturday (March 10) Redbridge police reported that 18-year-old Catherine Backhurst had gone missing, and that she may be in central London.

A police spokesman said that the teenager may be in company with another female, Sonia Kaur, who is 17-years-old.

Another appeal was launched after it was reported that Jordan Wrobleski, 18, from the Ilford area had also gone missing.

He was last seen on Saturday according to police, and it is believed he may have gone abroad, with links to Australia.

Anyone who might have seen Jordan or Catherine is urged to call 101.
