Pupils were sent home from a Seven Kings school this morning when a water supply problem stopped hot water and toilet facilities working.
Seven Kings High School, in Ley Street, shut at around 10am after the problem was discovered.
A letter on the school’s website said there was “no alternative” but to send children home.
It is the third week of the school’s new term but pupils did not seem to mind having the day off on Twitter.
One wrote: “Yo Seven Kings, stay closed tomorrow please.”
Another pupil tweeted: “I want to buy a cake for the guy that broke the boiler.”
The school has not confirmed whether it will open tomorrow.
