Police appeal after woman robbed at South Woodford station

A woman’s skin was ripped off her hand when two men snatched her bag at South Woodford Station.
Police are appealing for information about the incident which took place on Sunday, November 12, at 3.50am.
A British Transport Police spokesman said: “The victim, a 39-year-old woman, was travelling on the Central line and when it arrived at South Woodford station she was woken up by two men who had unhooked her shoulder bag.
“As the train doors opened one man snatched the bag out of her hand causing her skin to be ripped.
“The bag was then dropped in between the train and the platform.”
A struggle took place but the men managed to overpower the woman and run out of the station,
The victim suffered multiple bruising as a result of this incident.
