Young teen assaulted by five men in Chigwell

Police are appealing for witnesses after a young teen was assaulted by five men in Chigwell.

The incident happened in Long Green, a road behind Grange Hill tube station, between 5.20pm and 6pm on Sunday when a 15-year-old boy from Ilford was approached by five men who assaulted him and stole his watch, mobile phone and cash.

The men are described as either black or Asian and in their late teens.

Investigating officer, Pc Jody Greenfield said: “It is believed the suspect and his group of friends may have arrived and left via a train at the station. If you were in the area at the time and noticed this group of men, please contact me.”
