A church tucked away inside a school celebrated its 30 anniversary this week – complete with three cakes.
The Woodford Wells Ecumenical Church based in the chapel of Bancroft’s School, High Road, Woodford Green held a special thanksgiving service and celebration lunch.
The three pastoral ministers who are each from a different denomination attended the celebrations.
The congregation started meeting at the chapel when the school stopped having students board there.
One of the cornerstones of the church is that all beliefs shared by all denominations of Christians are more important than any differences. See www.wwec.co.uk.
