A woman is in hospital with leg pain after she was involved in a traffic accident and had to be cut free by firefighters.
The two damaged cars in Chadwell Heath (Picture: Samad Rahman)The collision involving two cars occurred in Grove Road, Chadwell Heath, just before noon today.
The woman, believed to be in her early 40s, was treated for minor injuries at the scene before being taken to Queen’s Hospital, Romford.
“I didn’t see the accident happen but I heard it and it was a loud bang,” said Samad Rahman.
“One of the cars had its front bumper and its front wheel totally smashed in and the driver of the small car ended up getting hurt.

Three police vehicles, two fire engines and an ambulance are reported to have attended the incident.
Last month, a nine-year-old boy was hospitalised with head injuries after a hit-and-run driver mounted the pavement in Grove Road and mowed him down as he was walking home from school with his mother and baby sister.
