Staff and residents at Chestnuts Nursing Home, Cambridge Park, Wanstead spent the day in the sunshine chatting to friends and listening to local singer Paul Ross who regularly sings at the home.

Organiser Shirley Leach said: “The event went really well and we have over 70 friends, family and residents here to enjoy the afternoon.

“Paul, who is hugely popular with residents, entertained us all with songs and some people got up to dance. The weather was lovely and all the residents had a great time. Our chef provided a light lunch which everyone enjoyed too.”
