The exchange of the Olympic Flame happened just outside the steps of the council building in High Road, Ilford.

Before the torch arrived the bearer posed for photographs and even let the crowds touch the golden torch.

After a couple of quick pictures with the Mayor of Redbridge Cllr Muhammed Javed, the flame was off on its way to the Olympic Opening Ceremony.
