About 30 students from Chigwell will be making up the 3,000 strong ranks of the biggest performance of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical.

The students are from the Stagecoach Theatre Arts School which meets at Chigwell School, High Road and will be joined by other stage schools around the country.

Andrew Lloyd Webber said: ‘I’m absolutely thrilled that so many young people will be able to take part in this very special performance of Cats.”

The performance is being held at the National Indoor Arena, Birmingham on March 24 in celebration of the theatre school chain’s 25th anniversary.
