Redbridge residents invited to hospital trust annual general meeting

Redbridge residents are invited to next month’s annual general meeting of Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals Trust.
The body was slammed by the Care Quality Commission earlier this year after fully meeting 27 and partly meeting 48 of the 81 recommendations made in last year’s investigation.
Deputy Director of CQC in London, Matthew Trainer expressed concern over A&E provision and the sustainability of improvements.
He said: “The direction of travel at the Trust is encouraging but - as they acknowledge - they still have some way to go before they are consistently delivering the quality of care that local people are entitled to expect.”
A BHRUT spokesman said: “There have been enormous changes to Barking, Havering and Redbridge University
Hospitals NHS Trust in the wake of the Care Quality Commission’s investigation, and we welcome the opportunity to share these.”
The trust will discuss recent developments and priorities for the coming year.
The meeting will begin at 5.30pm on September 5 at Queen’s Hospital, Romford.
