Redbridge MPs of all colours have united in opposition to the possible closure of Hainault Fire Station.
Ilford North MP Lee Scott has said he would oppose the move if it is proposed.
The Conservative MP, whose constituency includes Hainault, Barkingside and Clayhall, said it is “hypothetical” until proposals have been finalised.
Closing Hainault Fire Station, in New North Road, was planned in two options to save the London Fire Brigade between £25million and £50m.
No formal proposals are being made until the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, announces the new budget at the end of January.
Changes to London fire cover will then be put to consultation before a decision in the summer.
Mr Scott said: “I would object to closing Hainault fire station but I can’t object to anything that hasn’t been proposed yet.
“I would want to know the concerns of residents serviced by the station and know how response times would be kept as good as they currently are.”
Leyton and Wanstead MP John Cryer called for a parliamentary debate on the possible cuts to fire stations across the capital.
He said some of the changes could cut “50 per cent of fire cover” in his constituency because Leyton and Leytonstone stations would each lose one of their two pumps.
The Labour MP said: “It could lead to devastating redundancies and there’s a real risk to life and limb if we have cuts on such a massive scale.
“Any firefighter will tell you that those early minutes are absolutely crucial in saving lives.
“A few minutes added to response times can be the difference between them taking people or bodies out of buildings.”
Ilford South MP Mike Gapes has also voiced concerns for budget cuts for other emergency services.
He said: “It’s a consequence of cuts that are being introduced by Boris Johnson on top of government reductions.
“We’ve got cuts to police, to fire and to hospitals all over London and I’m concerned about the effects.”

Chingford and Woodford Green MP Iain Duncan Smith said: “I am concerned about these budget cuts and I hope that the relevant authority will bear in mind response times and people’s safety.”
