Approximately 79 per cent of the school’s A2 pupils achieved A* to C grades, while 82 per cent of the A2 pupils and BTEC students combined took away A* to C grades.

Allison Greenwood, the deputy headteacher of Key Stage Five, said: “We are very proud of them. The students and staff have worked really hard over the last two years.

“The majority of our students applied to go to university and we are really pleased.”

Hardeep Sambi, the head of year, added: “I think we were more nervous than they were! They have done so well.”
