The Green Party manifesto:

-Housing - Have mandatory licensing for private landlords, provide more affordable housing and have no evictions on the basis of bedroom tax

- Democracy - Make sure area committees are democratic and inclusive and restrict betting shops, payday loan providers and inappropriate fast food outlets

- Local economy and community - Have a living wage for all, create a sustainable economic strategy and campaign against street harassment

- Transport and health - Have an Ultra Low Emissions Zone, make the speed limit 20mph on all Redbridge residential roads, improve cycling provision and provide support for the NHS

- Energy, environment and animals - Cut energy bills for residents, have more solar panels on Redbridge roofs and ensure new developments support wildlife

- Children and young people - Reinstate Education Maintenance Allowance, end unlawful exclusions and promote secular, comprehensive education

- Sports - Oppose the selling off of all parkland and sports grounds and support the building of a new swimming pool, but on a brownfield site

Wilson Chowdhry, the Green Party’s candidate for Clementswood, said: “This year Redbridge Green Party will stand more prospective councillors in Redbridge than any previous year.

“It is a remarkable achievement and illustrates the development of our group and the increased local favour for Green Party policies.”

Ukip manifesto:

- Ukip candidates for Redbridge have pledged to work to provide much-needed permanent leisure facilities around the borough

- To work to keep control of council tax, ensuring a fairer Redbridge for all residents

- To work to ensure that housing policy will reflect the needs of all residents

- To work to improve street cleansing around across the whole of the borough

- To work to improve law and order in the borough

- To work to improve facilities for the elderly and vulnerable

- To work to provide priority in adult social care for local Redbridge residents

The manifesto adds: “Despite what the tired old parties would have you believe, a vote for Ukip can really help to make a difference in Redbridge.

“Councillors would have the right to vote in the best interests of the people that they represent, rather than following a predetermined party line.”

Independent Loxford group manifesto:

The Independent Loxford members are Cllr Filly Maravala, Cllr Virendra Tewari and Saima Butt.

They have made the following pledges:

- To fight to eradicate prostitution from the streets of Loxford and make the streets more safe

- To continue fighting for a permanent leisure centre in the south of the borough

- To continue to ask for more school places in Loxford and in south Ilford

- To declare zero-tolerance on fly tipping

- To combat anti-social behaviour wherever it occurs

- To resist any more housing in Loxford

- To fight for improvements in parks and streets

- To fight for our fair share of funding at Area Committee Six

- To assist businesses in thriving in Loxford

- To improve the pavement and roads infrastructure

Cllr Maravala said: “Break the mould. Ditch Labour in Redbridge and vote independent.”
