King Solomon High and Chadwell Heath Academy students face off for business competition

Two teams of students from Redbridge have been given a start-up fund of £250 each to set up a business with all profits going to charity.
Students from King Solomon High School are going to create custom t-shirts to be sold to students and staff in aid of St Francis Hospice in Havering-atte-Bower.
They will be competing against Chadwell Heath Academy, together with five other schools from outside the borough.
Taranjeet Degan, 16, of Chadwell Heath Academy, Christie Gardens, Chadwell Heath, said: “I feel proud to be involved, it’s something the team felt could help us in the future and that we could support for a good cause.” They have six months to turn a profit with the team raising the most getting an iPad 3.
Arran Schaffer, 15, of King Solomon School, Forest Road, Barkingside, said: “I’m excited about getting involved with this business challenge.”
The winners will also be offered work experience at Matchroom Sport, a sport events organiser and at St Francis Hospice.

Brick Lane Comedy Festival cancelled after opposition from community groups
