The first service on Sunday is due to be held at St Margaret’s Church, Balfour Road, Ilford for the eight day Week of Prayer for Christian Unity.

Services will be held the following Thursday, Friday and Saturday at noon at Ilford Hospital Chapel, Ilford Hill, Ilford.

Doreen Weller, warden at the chapel, said; “In all faiths you get segments and offshoots and the Christian faith is no different.”

The services will be organised by a different church each day.
