Seven Kings High, Ley Street, Seven Kings, will have a new four-form entry primary school from September 2015 giving an additional 120 places per year group.

It will be built on land occupied by the former trolleybus garage in Ley Street.

Oaks Park High, Oaks Lane, Newbury Park, will expand from eight forms of entry to 10, giving the school 60 more places for each year group.

Conservative Cllr Alan Weinberg, cabinet member for children’s services, said during Tuesday’s cabinet meeting at Redbridge Town Hall, High Road, Ilford: “We are putting our money where our mouth is and we are planning expansion of schools up to 2018/19.”
