About 90 reception children took to the stage for a nativity play at an Ilford school, which they accompanied with sign language.
Pupils at Gearies Infants School told the story of Jesus’ birth, the Three Wise Men, and the journey to Bethlehem.
The whole year group at the school in Waremead Road, Gants Hill took part as actors, narrators or members of the choir.
Christmas classics like Away in a Manger featured in the four-song musical last week.
Some of the performers learned sign language for the show to help those with hearing problems.
Laura Smith, a reception practitioner, said: “I thought it was a fantastic performance and we are all very proud of them.
“Everyone who was involved was very happy with the children and the parents’ comments.”
