Tired of having to choose between shopping and carol singing as your festive calendar fills up? Now you don’t have to.

To send a link to this page to a friend, you must be logged in.

Visit Sainsbury’s Barkingside from today and a choir of store workers will serenade you as you enter the store.

Store manager Chris Wager said he hoped the singers would either entertain or amuse visitors.

“We want to bring some ‘theatre’ to our customers this Christmas,” he added.

“And of course, customers are very welcome to join in the festivities.”
