People littering from cars and vehicles could be fined up to £100 by Redbridge Council and £200 if they do not pay or unsuccessfully appeal.

Since June, the council has had the power to issue vehicle owners with the fine.

Littering in public is a criminal offence and the council can review CCTV footage as evidence.
