A choral festival raised more than £15,000 for an orphanage for Jewish children in Jerusalem.

Students from the Ilford Jewish Primary School Choir attended the festival at the Arts Depot, north Finchley. Pupils from Years 3 to 6 sang songs.

Deborah Harris, from the school, said: “We are delighted that our choir was asked to once again perform at this concert and to help raise much-needed funds for Boys Town Jerusalem. The children in our choir give up their lunch breaks to rehearse and we are very proud of each and every one of them.”

The orphanage is home to 900 boys aged between 12 and 20-years-old.
