Children from schools across Redbridge and beyond gathered for a music festival in Chigwell earlier this month.
Chigwell School, in High Road, welcomed 150 seven to 11-year-olds from 20 preparatory and primary schools for a day of music making.
The children were taught how to play exotic instruments from South America, performed in a large orchestra and were coached on the guitar and other instruments.
A chamber choir was formed and they performed a variety of songs.
After the day of rehearsals, the children performed to a 500-strong audience at an evening concert.
