Call to groups to make most of Goodmayes community centre in line for redevelopment

Community groups are being encouraged to register their interest in using a new community centre in Goodmayes.

To send a link to this page to a friend, you must be logged in.

Goodmayes Residents’ Association wants to develop the centre so it appeals to all community groups.

Keith Stanbury, chairman of the association, said: “The old St Andrew’s Church hall was a community centre used by the elderly, newly-weds and local clubs. It’s not big – but it works!”

Money has been approved by Redbridge Council to redevelop the existing building in Green Lane.

Funding has been matched by Swan Housing Association.

Any group interested in finding out more should contact keith@goodmayes-residents.org.uk.
