A specialist nurse trained in botox and laser hair removal treatments has realised her dream of opening her own salon in Ilford.
Naseem Akhtar trained and worked at a clinic in central London for four years, and has spent the last year turning her dream of opening her own clinic into reality.
Zuri Aesthetics opened yesterday in 27 York Road, Ilford, and is offering 50% off all laser treatments until the end of the month.
“I worked in retail and then studied nursing in my 20s after having my kids,” said Naseem.
“I worked in the NHS and private sector and then in a clinic in central London for the past four years, where I treated thousands of clients. I’m very ambitious and this has been my dream for the past year. I already know that I want to branch out in the future.”
Naseem, who speaks Urdu and Punjabi as well as English, wants to encourage local clients who currently travel to Harley Street to give her a go.
“We used to have a lot of clients from east London because they didn’t trust the beauty therapists working near them to carry out botox or other injectable treatments,” she said.
“I have been trained to use all the equipment. I want to put Ilford on the map in terms of aesthetic treatments. I can treat men and women of all skin colours and ethnicities and help people to look good and feel great.”
As well as botox and laser hair removal, Naseem can also carry out microdermabrasion and Agera skin peels, dermal fillers, vascular laser treatment and hyperdrosis. Visit www.zuriaesthetics.co.uk for more information.
