The walk was organised by the Redbridge Faith Forum and started from the Ilford Federation Synagogue, Coventry Road, Ilford.

Shamshia Ali, from the forum, said: “It’s a chance for people to see the different places of worship in central Ilford. People can meet and greet each other so it’s a neighbourly atmosphere.”

The walk snaked its way around central Ilford ending at Guru Nanak Satsang Sabha Karamsar gurdwara in High Road.

“It’s about interaction, some learning and breaking down barriers. It spreads community cohesion,” Miss Ali added.
