A South Woodford school has held a Christmas Fayre for parents and children.

Pupils at Oakdale Infant School, in Woodville Road, enjoyed a range of activities including face painting, a tombola, letter writing to Santa and an opportunity to meet Father Christmas himself.

Ilford North MP Wes Streeting and Cllr Lloyd Duddridge (Lab, Roding) attended the fayre on Saturday.

Mr Streeting said: “It was fantastic to see so many children and parents getting into the Christmas spirit, enjoying a great family day out and raising money for the school at the same time.

“I want to thank the Parents and Teachers Association at the school for their brilliant effort putting together the event.”

Cllr Duddridge added: “I was really pleased to be able to attend the fayre.”
