More than 20 firefighters battle fire in Ilford

Firefighters tackled a blaze in Ilford yesterday (November 30)

Four fire engines and 21 firefighters were called to a fire at an end-of-terrace house in Wanstead Park Road at 10.58am.

A London Fire Brigade spokesman said: “Half of the first floor of the two-storey building was damaged by fire.

“There were no reports of any injuries.”

The Brigade had the fire was under control by 11.43am.

Fire crews from Ilford, East Ham, Barking and Leytonstone fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
