Mayor of Redbridge’s concert in the park this weekend

The festival will take place at Christchurch Green on Saturday from 1pm-6pm and all funds raised will go to ELHAP.

The Mayor of Redbridge is hosting a music festival in Wanstead this weekend to try and raise money for her nominated charity.

Councillor Debbie Kaur-Thiara and her fundraising appeal committee will be staging ‘The Mayor’s Charity Concert In The Park’ this Saturday (September 15) from 1-6pm.

The event at Christchurch Green, Wanstead will be in aid of the charity adventure playground ELHAP (Every Life Has A Purpose) and is being staged as part of the Wanstead Festival 2018.

The program includes live music ranging from classical to multicultural, Caribbean steel drums band, food, drink, stalls and a number of children’s activities

All the funds raised will go towards ELHAP.Councillor Kaur-Thiara said: “I am extremely delighted to announce the concert supported by talented artists and volunteers. It will be a fantastic way to bring the local communities from all cultural backgrounds together, whilst collectively working to help raise funds for my charity”
