The mayor is due to attend a fundraiser for injured paratroopers.

Cllr Ashley Kissin will be at Uplands Social Club on Saturday to support the event, which is being held by the Afghanistan Trust.

The charity helps soldiers who were wounded while serving with the Parachute Regiment in the country. It also aids the families of those who were killed.

The social club is in Green Walk, Woodford Bridge.
